Police officers, medical professionals, social workers, and advocates respond to people in crisis. These professionals see and experience trauma in people’s lives every day. To support professionals who support others, the Nord Family Foundation and the Lorain County Board of Mental Health (LCBMH) are sponsoring the “Resilience in Trauma-Exposed Workplaces” training for first responders and trauma professionals in Lorain County on December 16, 2016, from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., at the Lorain County Community College Spitzer Center.
Françoise Mathieu, M.Ed., CCC., RP, a specialist in high-stress workplaces, Co-Executive Director of TEND, and author of The Compassion Fatigue Workbook, will be the featured speaker. (Video from TEND)
Please register for the event at lcbmh.eventbrite.com if you are a Lorain County first responder, member of law enforcement, firefighter, paramedic, doctor, nurse, social worker, mental health clinician, or advocate.
The training is free. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
